One of the reasons I need an online storage and streaming program is  that my work place is in the process of shutting off our administrator rights on our desktops at work. I must have music to listen to or I will not survive. I get that these are the new rules, but that doesn't mean I don't have to find a work around. I like the music storage component because I was finding that I had 2 different libraries, one at work and one at home and because I all buy music from Amazon, I can't always get my libraries to match up. This way I know I have 1 library with all my music on it. So, I this part of the service is great.

My issue right now is that right now I can't use FireFox and IE (7.0 at least, we can't use 8.0 yet) to stream all of my music. It looks like most of it is music I have bought through Itunes. I spoke to one of the programmers and he mentioned that they thought they should have support through Chrome soon. So, I hit up one of the tech guys in my area and ask him whether they will install non-standard software. Answer is yes, but when I brought up Chrome, he made a face. The CIO is trying to get the college to consolidate from all the different browsers down to 2, Firefox and IE. We have to have IE for certain university programs, but they are now installing Firefox because so many of the faculty/staff use it. But from the sound of my conversation, they will frown on Chrome. I can't justify Itunes for a business reasons, so I'm stuck using IE or Firefox. So, I'm asking that the ability to stream all types of music (especially those purchased through the Itunes store) be added for IE and/or Firefox. I suspect that when the tech department comes through this summer to upgrade everyone's machine to Windows 7 is when I'll be shut out.

Other than that, I'm looking forward to using the streaming service. I do enjoy having the back-up system in place. That's been a nice reliefsince I didn't have my Itunes library backed up and I have a lot of music.
